Be the Hog! 03:17
Diamonds and geldings and grandfathered moorings Flattered by grandeur but fully divested And you? I know what you’re gonna do Unzip your guilt trip and freshen your lipstick Drunk-slur your safeword and act like there’s nothing to prove But I know what you’re gonna do And you Just do what they tell you to. I would like to know the way the world got all wrapped up They put a bow on top for you. Act the pig! Be the hog! Learn to live among all that slop. Have another hors d'oeuvre. Psychotic, gigantic and totally romantic Hoarded and guarded and handsomely rewarded And you? I know what you’re gonna do And you? Just do what they tell you to. I would like to know the way the world got all wrapped up They put a bow on top for you. Find the sun, fall asleep, Learn to dream without waking up They put a bow on top for you

I guess I found the diamond sky But my hand is cuffed behind No one ever seems to see The difference between a beckon and a plea Take me to this thing you call your every waking moment and I’ll take you to a place that I can hardly claim is mine all mine, so long may she ride. Every time I groan Every time I bleed I don’t even know I can barely breathe I can barely believe At first they tried to sympathize it seemed Before they saw the writing on the wall They come with guns to fight those on their knees What more of a connection do you need? The more I look, the less I see And the less I see the more I seem to know The words they seem to come so easily But they’re gone just like a shadow on the sun

We got the laugh lines And we got romance We got the same old story We drank the moonshine Yeah we came to dance We ain’t no holy rollers Like the breeze We’ll be gone tomorrow We found the land mines We broke the glass We brought the rolling thunder We missed the punchline Forgot to laugh So goes the same old story Like the breeze We’ll be gone tomorrow

How long ‘til the summer comes And idle hands convert you? It’s a long ride to the riverside For all the pervs to pervert you. They’ve got those campfire vampires. It’s such a long way home. Bow down as advertised Before the cross of virtue. How long ‘til you realize The real things that can hurt you? They’ve got their graveyard scorecards. It’s been a long time gone. We all lined up for the big parade (I’m related to infinity) But then I saw it was a big charade (All inside my anonymity) Never ever ever gonna masquerade (If I can make it to divinity) I think I’ve finally had enough.

I’ve met a lot of people, shook a lot of their hands, But you never really know what’s goin’ on in their heads. The bottom comes up quickly when you’re down in the dirt. You see it and you know it’s gonna, it’s gonna hurt. Yeah, it’s gonna hurt. We don’t believe, oh no We won’t be deceived, oh no It’s already out of your hands I was alive, for sure I can feel it inside more and more It’s already out of your hands The lady in the red, she did a number on me. It seemed like such an easy question, a simple demand. “If I’m alive, well then what are you?” If I could find a way to hide then I wish (bet?) you could, too. It’s never quite what it seems when you’re competing with hindsight. We were never deceived. We were alert like a searchlight. You can’t get it to stop. You can’t prevent it from moving. I was right. I never save my goodbyes for the sunlight. We don’t believe, oh no We won’t be deceived, oh no It’s already out of your hands I was alive, for sure I can feel it inside more and more It’s already out of your hands

Variatrix 04:30
Alle auch sind frei All the ashes fell around our feet Never thought I’d see the plague return I was racing time I saw it happen in the blink of an eye All these wrinkles seem to cut so deep This mess will straighten out in time This mess will settle down in time This boy will settle down you’ll see You look alive, and when then time comes I’m already going blind But then I realize I could never really see It’s just that I thought I was doing fine Until I recognized it was all inside of me. She holds the key But there isn’t much mystery When the time comes who will be released I know the stakes And I’m prepared to do whatever it takes Help me pull the sheets up over my eyes This mess will straighten out in time This mess will settle down in time This boy will settle down you’ll see You live a lie, and when then time comes I’m already going blind But then I realize I could never really see It’s just that I thought I was doing fine Until I recognized it was all inside of me.
